The Buffalo Lambdas.
The Buffalo Lambdas. Brotherhood, leadership, and legacy at the University at Buffalo.
Who we are
A brotherhood that outlasts four years.
We are more than a brotherhood — a lifelong network of men who challenge each other to grow. The bonds formed here outlast graduation.
What we're about
Leaders among men.
We lead on campus, lift each other up, and show up for Buffalo and the community around us.
What we stand on
Our Pillars.
Four foundations hold up everything the Buffalo Lambdas are. They are the measure of a brother.
Leadership
Leaders among men is not a slogan here — it is the standard. Every brother is built to lead, on campus and long after.
Scholarship
Brotherhood and the books go together. We hold each other to the grades and back it with mentorship.
Brotherhood
A lifelong network of men who challenge one another to grow. The bond does not end at graduation.
Service
We show up for our community and for causes bigger than ourselves — with our time, not just our words.
Watch
This is Buffalo.
One film. Years of brotherhood. Press play and meet the Godfathers of the East.
Bigger than us
Philanthropy & Fundraisers.
We believe brotherhood means showing up for the community. The Buffalo Lambdas run fundraisers and drives throughout the year for causes we care about.
Our Cause
We run drives that encourage people to register as potential bone marrow and stem-cell donors, because finding a match can save a life.
Chapter Fundraisers
The Buffalo Lambdas host their own fundraisers through the year. Come to one and see the brotherhood at work.
Built to lead
Leadership.
From running the chapter to representing it beyond campus, brothers step into leadership early.
Lead the Chapter
Board positions, committee roles, and the chance to run events that shape the Buffalo Lambdas' legacy.
The life
Brotherhood, beyond the letters.
Retreats, getaways, and the events that make this more than an organization.
Retreats & Getaways
Off-campus retreats where brothers reset, reconnect, and set the vision for the year ahead.
Brotherhood Events
Game nights, dinners, cultural events and traditions that turn a line into family.
Rush Week
A full week to meet the brothers, see who we are, and decide if the Buffalo Lambdas are your home.
Brothers who build
The bond keeps building.
When a brother builds something, we put our name behind it. Follow them, shop them, send them your people.
Founded by brother Michael Hsu
Sleek Attire
A veteran and minority-owned embroidery house — custom line jackets and intricate hand-stitched designs. They even stitch the dragon: the same fire that runs through this chapter.
President · MOR Lending
Roy K. George
A brother in the brotherhood's corner for anything property — commercial and residential mortgages with an industry-leading payout. When a brother is ready to buy, build, or refinance, Roy is the call.
Captain · Beasts Dragonboat
James Lozada
Not a business — a team. James paddles with Beasts Dragonboat and is always looking for brothers to pull an oar. Same fire, same dragon, out on the water.
Dailo · Physical therapist
Dr. Daniel "Ironhide" Zhu
A Dailo — a big bro — who kept building after Buffalo. Today he helps people move better, recover stronger, and get back to the life they want — the same way he pulled the younger brothers up.
Private Wealth Advisor · Family office founder
Rick "Ripley" Hu
Private Wealth Advisor and founder of his own family office.
Dentist · Prince Street Dental
Dr. William "Magma" Chang
A brother keeping the community smiling — leading his own practice and giving people something to be confident about. We send our own to our own.
Brother Jeffies Wrong · Wholesale eyewear
Nagi K Sunglasses
Wholesale sunglasses out of Los Angeles, in the business since 1999. Stocking a shop, an event, or a chapter order? Start here.
Brother Peter W Yip · Art studio
Yippy Art
“Art is Everything – Color Your World, Clear Your Mind.” Painting classes, workshops, and painting parties. Bring the brothers, bring a date, bring the family.
Independent insurance agency
Liam Dai · RiskBlock
Home, auto, and business insurance from an independent agency. When a brother buys the house, the car, or starts the business, Liam has it covered.
Brotherhood beyond Buffalo
The letters cross every chapter.
Lambda Phi Epsilon is bigger than one house. Across the country, brothers from every chapter are building. When we find them, we put our name behind theirs too.
Jimmy Chen · NYU Lambda
Taiyaki NYC
The fish-shaped ice cream cone that took over New York. Brother Jimmy Chen co-founded it in Chinatown and grew it into a destination. Same dragon spirit, different city.
Chris Cheung · Johns Hopkins Lambda
Boxed
Brother Chris Cheung co-founded and led Boxed, the mobile-first bulk e-commerce startup — proof of how far Leaders Among Men can take the letters.
Explore the full alumni network across every chapter at the official Lambda Phi Epsilon network.
The composite
The brothers of the wall.
